Wax to Silver — October Series
This workshop series is for anyone who has ever wanted to create their own jewelry.
Taking place over four Mondays throughout October, this immersive series gives you the time and space to truly connect with the lost wax casting technique and explore your own creative language.

Each session lasts 3 hours, allowing you to slow down, experiment, and develop your ideas over the course of the month. Throughout the series, you will have the opportunity to create multiple pieces, including rings and pendants, while becoming familiar with the materials, tools, and processes involved in wax carving.
The workshop takes place at Somewhere Blue Studio, a calm, immersive space that invites focus and creativity, in the heart of Athens.
The series is designed for beginners and requires no previous experience.
Throughout the month, I will guide you through the process of working with wax and developing your own jewelry designs. You will learn how to use carving tools and heat to shape the material, carving, melting, adding, and removing wax as your ideas take form.
You will work with two different types of wax: a softer wax that can be carved and shaped by hand, and firmer blue and green waxes that are applied using heat, allowing you to build, layer, and develop form. Each material offers a different way to approach your design and encourages experimentation throughout the process.
With more time to explore and create, this series allows you to develop multiple pieces at your own pace. I will be there throughout each session to guide you, assist you, and answer any questions as your designs evolve.
Once a wax piece is complete and ready for casting, its final metal weight will be calculated. Silver is not included in the workshop package, and the cost of the silver will be paid before each piece is sent for casting.
Your designs will be cast in 925 Sterling Silver at our local foundry. Once cast, I will take care of the finishing touches, cleaning, filing, sanding, hallmarking, and polishing, so that your pieces are ready to be worn and enjoyed.
The finished silver pieces will be ready for collection or shipping approximately 1-2 weeks after casting, transformed from wax into silver, and made to last.
With a deeper connection to the material, the process, and your own creative language, Eleni invites you to come as you are, to slow down, and to work with your hands.
Over four weeks, you will have the opportunity to experiment, create, and develop pieces that carry your presence.

How It Works
1. Workshop Duration: ~3 hours in a calm, relaxed studio environment.
2. Wax Carving: Learn how to shape, carve, and layer your ring using two types of wax.
3. Guidance: I will be there to help you through every step.
4. Casting & Finishing: After the workshop, I take your wax model to a professional foundry. Your ring is polished, hallmarked, and finalized.
5. Collection / Shipping:
• Your ring will be ready to collect from Somewhere Blue studio approximately 1-2 weeks after the workshop.
• If you prefer to receive it by post, it can be shipped to you, with shipping costs covered by you.
Extra Info / Rules
• No prior experience is needed.
• Please wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little wax on.

Cancellation Policy
• Bookings are non-refundable.
• Bookings can be transferred to a different date if canceled at least 7 days prior to the workshop.

All participants are guided on safe use of tools and materials. Minor incidents (small cuts or burns) may happen, and participants are responsible for taking care while working.
